This is a light easily absorbed oil suitable in both body and facial blends it has a very delicate smell which makes this one of the most popular carrier oils in aromatherapy. Due to its skin softening properties this oil is highly recommended for eczema, the Romans used it as a beauty aid to keep the skin soft and to prevent wrinkles it was also a favorite of Napoleon’s Josephine, it is suitable for thread veins. Sweet almond is often used in nail treatments to promote health nails (I would add a little lemon oil to enhance this). N.B. Bitter almond oil, which is highly toxic, should never be used in aromatherapy. Contains Glucosides, minerals and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E and is rich in protein.
